Peat Cream / Lotion

Therapies
Also known as: peat cream, moor cream, peat lotion, peat moisturizer
Method: topical
Duration: Leave-on (continuous contact)
Frequency: 1–2 times daily
Temperature: Room temperature
Preparation: Emulsion (oil-in-water or water-in-oil) with peat extract, humic acid, or fulvic acid as active ingredient

Peat cream or lotion is a leave-on topical product offering the longest skin contact time of any peat cosmetic. This maximizes absorption of bioactive compounds, making it the most therapeutically relevant daily-use format. Suitable for face, hands, and body.

Formulation Considerations

Leave-on products require careful formulation to avoid staining from dark humic acids. Fulvic acid-dominant formulations are lighter in color and better suited for facial creams. The emulsion base itself contributes to moisturizing, working synergistically with humic substance barrier-support effects.
