Members
Members are companies and organisations working with cosmetic or balneological peat — skincare brands, spas and clinics, peat producers, laboratories, and research groups. Membership is free, and we welcome more Members over time.
The Association was set up because most of the knowledge about therapeutic peat sits in company archives, in spa tradition, and in German, Czech, Polish and Estonian literature that never reached an English-speaking audience. Members are the organisations that hold that knowledge. The Members program is how we bring it into an independent, evidence-checked resource that is free for everyone to read.
What Members can do
- Provide or update their own logo and company introduction, and correct factual information about their profile in the directory.
- Share material that helps the wider field — research papers, technical studies, historical material, peat source information, or archival photographs and documentation.
- Propose topics for future guides, and flag gaps or errors in existing science pages through our Corrections Policy.
What membership does not include
Membership buys nothing. It does not come with a fee, a badge of approval, preferential placement, or any say over which claims we publish or how we grade evidence. Product claims by a Member are checked against the peer-reviewed literature exactly as they would be for any other company, as set out in our Funding & Conflict of Interest policy.
How to join
Send us a short message through the contact form (choose "Membership application"), telling us who you are and how your organisation works with peat. We reply within a few working days. There is no application fee and no contract.
Current Members
Membership does not confer editorial influence or scientific endorsement. Members and the Brands Directory are different — a brand can appear in the directory without being a Member.
