About
A Soviet-era sanatorium complex, leased in 2004 to a private investor for renovation rather than lose the site entirely, and rebuilt into the modern Grand SPA Lietuva — now three hotels (Dzūkija, Druskininkai, and Lietuva) sharing one of the largest, most modern treatment centers in the Baltic states, offering over a hundred procedures including mud treatments alongside mineral water therapies.
About the Treatments
Grand SPA Lietuva in Druskininkai, Lithuania offers mud treatments and mineral water therapies, part of its medical and wellness program.
Peat from Lithuania is mainly raised bog peat and transitional bog peat. Treatments like these are sometimes called peat mud pack, most often explored for joint inflammation (osteoarthritis, rheumatic conditions), muscle pain and tension, psoriasis, and back pain (chronic low back pain). See our evidence library for the studies.
