Peat Mud Pack
Peat mud pack is the most intensive topical application — thick whole-peat paste applied directly to skin, delivering maximum concentration of all bioactive fractions plus sustained thermal effects. Distinguished from face masks by thicker application, larger body area coverage, and higher temperature. Used in spa/clinical settings and increasingly as home-use products.
Method
Finely ground peat is heated to 38–45°C and applied as a thick layer (1–2 cm) to the treatment area. Covered with plastic wrap or cloth to retain heat and moisture. After 20–40 minutes, removed and skin rinsed. The combination of chemical absorption and thermal delivery makes mud packs the closest home-use equivalent to clinical balneotherapy.
