About
Founded by Liam Counihan, who traces his interest to experiencing hot springs in Canada’s Rocky Mountains in 2007, then discovered an Irish company making peat-based skincare and began supplying spas from 2016 under his own Danú Ishka range of peat baths, face masks, and body wraps. In 2020 he opened Ireland’s only outdoor peat baths, built directly on the Kilcummin blanket bog — an experience otherwise found only in a handful of European spa towns like those in the Czech Republic.
