About
Pärnu’s identity as a spa town runs to almost two centuries: its first mud bath opened in 1838, it joined the official list of imperial Russian resorts in 1890, and it became Estonia’s leading spa destination during the country’s first republic. ESTONIA Resort’s treatment menu was developed with Estonian folk-medicine specialists and draws on that same regional tradition — peat and honey body wraps (the honey is said to help carry the peat deeper into the skin), massages combining peat, mud, and honeycomb, and baths using local hemp and home-brewed beer.
About the Treatments
ESTONIA Resort Hotel & Spa in Pärnu, Estonia offers peat massages and peat body treatments, part of its wellness program.
Peat from Estonia is mainly sphagnum peat (raised bog) and transitional bog peat.
